That sux man...I've drove nothing but honda/acura so far in my short life but my first car was almost a GTI. I heard they're fun to drive. Hopefully we'll see you back soon.

Like others, I'd see about finding a way to get more out of the insurance company. IMO, you got cheated & the girl should be taking the hit from them being unable to pay more for the loan.
