Bubbling durning Cold Morning Starts

Hey All,

I mentioned in a couple threads before that I finally bought an 06 TL. I was wondering if I was experiencing a unique effect. When I start the car up in the morning it kinda bubbles and slightly shakes the car while idling. Kinda feels like sitting in an old muscle car with major horsepower.

Is this normal???

Thanks,

Storm

I don't have that, but I do hear a squeaking noise coming from the driver's side wheel area. Anyone know what that is? It sounds like the fan belt but it's not.

is that bubbling sound coming from wheel well on the passenger side?

Mine doesn't go away...even after a long drive.

I think it's something to do with the liquid engine mounts. They allow the motor to shake until they warm up.

I think he's talking about an "effect" and not an actual "sound". If the engine runs slightly rough (emphasis on the word SLIGHTLY) for the first few minutes this is completely normal. It is emissions control related.

Correct, I am talking about an tangible "effect" rather than a sound.

I have this too. My 06 TL shakes and the bubbling sound is like a rough idle sound. I accepted this as normal but some people say they dont have this problem???

It's a perception thing. The engine will run very slightly rough for the first few minutes whether owners notice or not.
