Broken bulb in driver side map light.. Now what??

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh

Was trying to take out the map light bulbs and ended up breaking one of the bulbs. How do I get the part of the bulb which is stuck inside? There isn't anything sticking out to grab hold of.

stooooooooopid I know but help a brother out!!!

first things first, remove the fuse for the map lights so has to prevent from shorting out the circuit and burning out the fuse. Fuse # 6 , 7.5 Amps located in the fuse box behind the driver's side kick panel.

You might have to reprogram the HFL

Next , get a pair a gloves to prevents cuts and please wear safety glasses.

I would suggest to use some kind of dental picks to pry the remainder of the bulb out carefully.

Try to work slowly and if you have the use of a vacuum cleaner, use it while you are trying to get the base of the broken bulb out so as to prevent pieces of glasses falling everywhere.

Best regards

You do not have to remove the fuse. Just make sure the map lights are OFF. Use a pair of needlenose pliers and pull it out. Make sure to grab the metal base.

I would put a towel down under the light to catch any glass fragments that might fall out.
