I heard this one the news today, makes me wonder why anybody would OEM anything from that company for their new cars.

I'll lay odds Acura is pissed off big time at these EL42's....

Just read the article. Wow! Why the hell did Acura decide to use Bridgestone tires?!

I'm losing confidence in these tires too...shucks...

Looks like Ford would have learned from the Explorer/Firestone fiasco. Acura probably chose Bridgestone because of money. Who knows what kind of dealing goes on with corporate management.

If you read the nitty about the Ford incident, you'll find out it WASN'T bridgestones fault. Ford knew they had a vehicle stability issue in their suspension layout. To compensate, they lowered the tire pressure ratings for that vehicle, but had already signed those tires on with that model. The lower pressure caused the tire failures. They let Bridgestone take the blame and kept the contract with them, rather than sweet innocent Ford say they did something wrong.
