who the fk said anything about pink brakes?
and either way. what part of this makes logical sense to you?
hey, what color should i paint my ish. get suggestions...and come back with, no, only doing this color or that one.

Why the fk did you ask in the first place then?

and better yet...why the fk ask a question on something so subjective as if you're looking for a factual response. Ok, Jah says that on WDP, one must have Gold. There.

this is what turns off the veterans of this website to bothering to come and help answer any questions with any sincerity. The young generation now wants to be jerked off and wiped up for them. nobody wants to make an effort. 15 years ago...there was no internet to do searches for fixes or ideas. You had to rely on neighborhood mechanics and chilton manuals and hopes and dreams. that was it. Now, the answers are all there! You must look. You must put forth effort. Another PM asking me what paint to use, or what color earrings look good with a black blouse? Really? Why did I make a DIY, why did I have an entire thread put together to help others.

People can only be helped if they want to be helped.

Sorry for the rant. I'm getting old.

Teal is so overplayed right now though.

What about black...but with some cool lettering color.

He didn't start anything. He made a goofy post and OP jumped all over him for it. People need to lighten up. Life is short.

The gold actually looks good, but I'm in the "keep it black" camp since I don't think it looks right when attention is drawn to the fact our cars only have Brembos up front. Acura really cheaped out there; wouldn't have cost much more to use them out back as well. Then I'd probably do mine gold as well.

Could always get RDX brake covers for the rear. There was a pretty high demand for those a while back.

Sick how long you have you had them painted?Any primer or just paint? Any fade cracks etc.?
I ask is because I am about to do the same (front are peeling and the back are fking green) but some have told me to powder coat them but that will mean I will have to redo the seals (if possible). I think I am just going to go your route and paint them.

I painted them without primer. all i did was sand them down well and give the paint a good surface to stick to. 4 or 5 coats of color and then 3 or 4 coats of clear. looks great only problems i have is where i had chipped one of the corners taking the wheels on and off.

And you KNEW Q Ship was kidding-he didn't know to post his comment in red for sarcasm because he's new here.

Steven, while i respect your position here and I will listen to you, the problem wasnt the comment that he made, it was the fact that he couldnt take the razzing and started calling everyone douchebags, then to continue to create a thread calling us idiots and all kinds of other names, was when it started into this.

I could have made that comment to anyone else on this forum that has been here for a week, back and fourth once or twice and then we could be friends. If you ask me, hes asked for it by acting the way he did and continually acts.

With that said,

Thanks Undying, ive browsed many of the brembo colour threads the past 2 days. Ive seen some crazy good and awful colours and just wanted to see what I could possible do a little different. Everyone has helped me picture the other colours they mentioned on the car and gold just does it for me. I found the paint code for the bronzish gold metallic on the gtr brembos, so that will be my route!. Stay tuned for pics in a few weeks and also gold lugs will be coming in soon.

Thanks for all the replies and help from everyone

Unless the car already has some sort of color to match with like Teal on a member's ride here I think it's best to go with Black or Silver. White would get covered in brake dust in no time, Red is just ok, any other 'bright' or 'unconventional/radical' color is a bit too attention grabbing if it doesn't match or fit the rest of the theme the car may have.

Unless that's your aim of focus of course. Bronze would look ok if there were other bronze accents or trim on the car.

^^ Damnit beat me to it.

Just stick with black or go with a lighter or darker teal shade.

So I plan to keep my promise this time. Just finished painting all 4 calipers in the bronze metallic and WOW. I applied the brembo stickers an hour ago and am adding a few more layers of clear and then ill be reinstalling again!! Stayed tuned for pics in a few mins! The clear makes this colour pop and is absolutely sexy. While waiting between coats (yes i did completely take the calipers off the car) I painted the new drilled and slotted rotor hubs and end with a gloss black high temp paint. Almost ready for summer time! Rims will be insalled soon again and roof spoiler when warmer and then she is summer worthy

They look nice. But did you change your mind on the color? That obviously isn't the burnt orange from the GTR Brembos.

Those calipers look badass in that color. I think that's the best color for WDP and KBP, but it wouldn't look good on my SSM. I was thinking silver for my calipers. Possibly even blue, but that might pop a bit too much.

Wow. I didn't know they changed colors that much. They went from gold in the first pic to orange on the car.

Is there a specific brand of clear coat recommended? My original Brembo calipers are peeling. I read about Duplicolor but then saw a bunch of bad reviews. Spending $300+ per caliper on what's just a cosmetic issue is not in the cards...hoping there's a cheaper way using a good can of clear coat and maybe some more black paint.
