Brakes

The time has come to do brakes all around and I know OEM would be the best way to go.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Brake motive or Callahan brakes?

^tons of people are running brakemotive brakes (including myself) and i love them. they look good, are well priced, and more importantly have good stopping power.

+1 for brakemotive.

IMO oem is not the way to go when it comes to brakes on this car, there are so many better aftermarket options.
btw i have ebc red stuff pads with ebc rotors, racing brake lines and motul brake fluid, i'm very happy with my set up

check out heeltoe automotive and XLR8 performance, they both have plenty of great options for our cars

totally depends upon how you drive the car, if you do a lot of freeway driving then OEM are fine. If you are a lot of stop and go then get better brakes...

Compared to my previous car where I had redone the braking system minus fancy calipers. I gotta say the TL braking is kinda not as good as my old car, where I had good aftermarket pads, SS lines, slotted rotors.
I think the only saviour I got on my 6MT are the front calipers.

Are these the same brake kits (rotors\pads) as on eBay for $93.45? Or am I missing something?

Link? You sure you aren't looking at the fronts only?

+1 for Brakemotive. I've been running my set for a little while now and I have no complaints.

However, it doesn't hurt to do some more research. Take a look at all the offerings and go from there. We have some great vendors here and one of them are bound to have the right product for your needs/budget.

front rotors/pads kit for TL 06 M/T (brembo calipers)

I'll be placing an order with brakemotive (especially given the glowing feedback on this forum) for my TL 06 M/T (brembo calipers) ... the price for the front kit is $140 though. What's the ebay link advertising the front/rear kits for $145? This must be for the A/T models or I'm confused

cheers,
Ivo

If you contact Sean (the Brakemotive vendor) he will get you the special pricing. But yes, Brembos are more expensive. I think the total package with brembo fronts is maybe $200 or $220 shipped. Great guy to deal with and the brakes are working great for me so far!

Yes, I did. Your info about the Brembos seems correct.
