So I just lost my job and need to get new front pads and possibly rotors for my 2008 TL-S and I am trying to get them as cheap as possible. My car has just under 15,000 miles and the wear indicator is very close the the rotor. I was thinking that I might get new pads and rotors and save the rotors for the next brake change and get them turned.
Could you tell me the cheapest place to get OE Brembo pads and rotors?
Thanks,
Mike

Measure the thickness of the remaining pad material on all 4 pads, don't go by the wear indicator on a single pad. Service limit is 1/16" (1.6mm). I find it hard to believe you need new pads. You definitely don't need new rotors....and as long as they're relatively smooth and even, you don't need to turn them. I'm on my second set of pads without turning the rotors and they're fine at 101K....

Most OEMs use ceramic pads these days. I'm 90% sure the non Brembo cars use the Akibono ceramics from the factory. Not sure about the Brembos. Just about anything is going to work fine. The Brembos are overkill for daily driving and you're not going to come close to fading them in normal or spirited driving.
Unless you're having issues, don't touch the rotors. The stock pads are pretty gentle and there's no way they're at the wear limit or need to be turned.

150 is the cheapest you will be able to get oem, that will be on ebay. if you want cheap/ good pads, go duramax gold cmax pads from autozone. you get a lifetime warranty on them as well
