Brake rotor recommendations.

Looking to change out my 08 TLS brake rotors, the ones on it are warping. Not sure what brand the ones that are on it are, they are cross drilled. I was going to look at just the OEM discs, but unsure if they are coated to prevent rusting as I live in the Midwest and deal with salt in the winter. I do like the aesthetic of the cross drilled rotors but I'm not married to them, prob going to have to change out my pads as well. I been using the Akebono pads now and love not having dust on my wheels. I know the Brembo pads are recommended for OEM but I had to clean my wheels every couple days with all the dust and just don't want that drama anymore.

Your pads are causing the pulsation to start.

If low dust pads worked as well as dusty ones...Acura would have just used low dust pads originally.

Avoid using ceramic, low dust pads if you want to avoid pulsation. What's likely happening is that the pads are overheating and smearing onto the rotors. The uneven deposits cause the pulsation.

Either that or the rotors were put on incorrectly or on an uneven hub surface and are physically bending, which is causing the pulsation.

Buy any decent set of rotors. Yes, buy coated ones. The factory pad is the best overall brake pad. I would use factory pads from an Acura dealer or buy some other aftermarket semi metallic pad.

Clean the hub surfaces before installing everything. Use a torque wrench to properly and evenly tighten your wheels on.

You live in the midwest. The whole car is gonna get dirty from rain/snow/salt before the wheels ever get dirty. Why do you care if the wheels need to get washed along with the whole car? Even with low dust pads, I'm sure the car and wheels both get filthy at the same rate....

Or if it still bugs you, then the best way to avoid brake dust is to not look at your wheels.

Get some Akebono pads, and decent rotors. Don't go cheapy cheapy. If you drive hard then go top of the line rotors.

if you want quality, EBC is a great choice for pads and rotors.
