Brake Caliper Color?
Hello there guys, I want to paint my brake caliper, but I'm having trouble deciding what color to put on a black car? Please give me some of your opinion of colors that will look good on a black car. By the way I'm using a G2 Brake Caliper Paint which will give a glossy look.
Also I want to buy and applied the Brembo logo onto the Acura OEM brake caliper, does anybody know how to applied the logo onto the brake caliper. The Brembo stencil is from this website (its at the bottom of the page)
http://www.eagleday.com/brcapaki.html
P.S. Does anybody know which one is better? Will it look better with the spray
paint or to applied the paint with a brush? If so can someone tell me the
details steps in either painting or spraying the paint? Thank you!!

Do you currently have Brembo? If not, that's totally rice to tryand paint the logo on non brembo binders.
Here's a recent link... Personally I prefer silver, other colors (except amybe black) are "boy-ricer" IMO.

My personal opinion is the non Brembo brakes look pretty weak, and don't know why anyone would want to paint them and show them off. I have the Brembo's on my car, and I like the black. I think black is classy, and not too boy-racer.
I also agree with the above poster that if you put Brembo logo on your non-Brembo brakes, that's totally riced out.
These are my opinions, and it's your car, so do whatever makes you happy.

I have red on my 5AT brakes, and I love the way it looks, contrasts with everything else since everything else is black and silver. I suggest you don't put the Brembo because the way the caliper is designed you won't be able to fit it to make it look real because of the opening for the rotor. Good luck

A little oxidation on the rotors due to the weather (nothing a simple brake stop when I drive again can't fix), but a very nice paint job on the rear calipers, to complement the front Brembos, and of course, the RJ Liquid Graphite Inspyres!

you can just paint them oir......
hell, check the BM, i am selling a set of brembo calipers for the front w/ the option to have them professional powder coated to any color you like w/ decal on it. powder coating is the smoothest and most pro. looking job possible....
not to mention you would be dropping those weak 5AT breaks and stepping up to some brembo stopping power!! the calipers ill be selling will be practically brand new!!

My job was strictly to try and maintain a reasonable appearance through the wide spoked stocker wheels.

Painted my calipers on my 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder about 5+ years ago.
I used Rustolium premium oil based black GLOSS with a brush.
Remove wheel,
clean caliper,
let dry,
paint on black paint.
due to oil paint slow drying, any brush strokes disapear as it dries. park in garage overnight and all set.
I also put red "Spyder" graphics on them to dress up the shiney black.
like I said, over 5 years. no fade, no peal, paint is very afordable. and not as messy as haveing to mask everything off like thos spray paints. just get a set of 3 various sizes of cheap smaller brushes.
there are a lot of people that use this paint. it comes in 3 sizes. the smallest should be enough for 4 calipers, the medium enough for 2-3 cars if you can share with a friend. that medium size is sold very cheap at walmart like $6-$8 if I remember.
Make sure you buy the GLOSS and oil based. comes in a few other colors too.
