I think I'm gonna wire em to the door sills, but run a switched "double ground". That way they would come on with the doors, or come on with the switch...

My thoughts exactly.i did something like this to my car and deff wanted to do it in the fututre, my thought was though is that they come on when ever the interior lights(in my current setup) would turn on so that would look weird and out of place while driving. Only other thought was wiring it to work with illuminated door sills but i'm not sure if they come on with interior lights as well(from post #35 it looks like they don't but I don't own them so I wouldn't know for sure) saw the switch ground where the - completes the circuit, but I don't see how i could wire that in myself utilizing the door to complete the circuit.
