The bottom center console have a cigarette socket, does the socket pop off. I would like to install the EDFC there.

probably not, i think its built into the unit. Why not try in the upper compartment

You have to dremel (cut) the hell out of it to make it fit... and you lose the socket (if that matters to you).

I would have put mine there, but it's perfect for my V1 remote display.
