Bosch Wiper Blades Suck

I put some new Bosch wipers on my TL and they're really streaking. I wanted to put Acura inserts in them, but the guy in the parts department said they won't fit, that I have to buy new Acura wipers. Is that true?

Hes correct, you can't put the inserts in aftermarket arms. Ive had the Bosh Icons for over a yr and they haven't streaked yet.

I'm not impressed with the longevity of Icon's either. I am going to try Latitude's next.

Maybe try calling Bosch customer service? I have had mine for about 2 months and have absolutely loved them.

ditto Icons suck. Had them on my sister's civic and mother's odyssey. Both streak terribly.

I have the Bosch Micro Edge wipers now. I had the PIAA Super Silicone wipers and I wasn't impressed, so I thought I'd try the Bosch. I guess I'll go back to the Acura wipers, I think they work better than either of these.

oh micro edges are pretty decent. They'll last longer than icons at least. It's that one piece design on those icons that dont allow it to put enough pressure on the windshield causing streaking.

agreed, had Bosch blades on my '99 TL and they were terribly loud and streaky. Now on my'06 TL I enjoy the standard Acura blades...quiet and streak free!

Going to have to try the rain x latitudes for my replacement 26 inch driver side, the last couple of Bosch Icons start to streak quickly, as some of you have already noted.

My icons are excellent.

3 years on my wife's car 2 years on my TL just bought some for my Mazda as well.

The Rain X ones sucked IMO, I really wanted neoform but they don't sale them in the auto part stores out here.

They do. I just buy the insert refills each year from a local Honda dealer.

I've had Bosch Icon's on my TL since last November. No issues with them at all. Wipes clean and quiet.

I've had Bosch Micro Edge on my wife's Pathfinder since last September and no real issues with those either. I have found that if it is just slightly drizzling that the Micro Edge are a bit noisier and will streak a bit, but it goes away.

I've had Rain X on my old Infiniti and absolutely hated them. I replaced them after 3 months for Icons.

The newest iteration of the bosch icons suck, they barely lasted a couple of months on my MDX and TL. I bought a set of trico wipers (same design as the bosch wipers) and they are wonderful! TO help prolong their life I bought a bunch of AQUAPEL packs off amazon and used 2 to cover up all the windows on my MDX and let me tell you this, it's light years better than rain-x.

If you want to give the Rain-X ones a try, Walmart's running a promo w/ them until the end of the month - one blade for free (per customer per address). So if you can only get one free get the larger of the two, and the other one for cheap from eBay.

Edit: And who's 'aznboi24'? He's the first poster after the OP, and plugs AZ! Why didn't he let you guys know?

Just made this offer a thread of its own here:
