Haven't made first payment yet and I got rear ended in My 06 WDP TL . Been

reading these forums and was wondering if any has had a good result from a

body shop in the Chicago, IL area? The Dealer that I purchased from doesn't do

body work.

 

One of the best Body Shops around is Royal Coach in Addison..they do tons of high end show cars. I believe they also have a location in Bloomingdale. Have repaired cars of mine in accidents before and it looked better than new. A friend who owns a bunch of Amoco stations and is a mechanic said they're the absolute best and sent me there...he was right of course.

 

their is this place called Neat Street in Aurora. They do awsome work, they work on BMW, Mercedes and other good car makers. I would go their, but good luck with the fix

 

It is probably pretty far out of your way, but I recommend Central Auto Body in Waukegan... Yeah, thats about 50 miles north of downtown... But when you find a good bodyshop, you have to stick with them..

I took my old GS-R there. It had been backed into a couple times in the front end - the first time I just took the money and ran cause the damage wasn't too bad. But the second time my front quarter panel got rolled under and had to get it repaired. The guy took care of everything. Instead of 'repairing' the front bumper, he got me a new one and even replaced a couple aftermarket parts - all on the other insurers dime. Looked good as new - all lines matched up and color was perfect.

Luckily I haven't had to take my TL in for body work - but I will definately go back there.

 

Another good body shop is the body shop next to Libertyville Acura, just call their service department and they will connect you. I had a small dent repaired and it turned out great. They do a lot of Acura warranty work as well. The customer service was excellent as well.

 

I acutally bought my TL from Libertyville Acura and have heard good things about the bodyshop there. I acutally took my GS-R there for a quote but they were only going to repair the damage on the bumper caused by the second person that backed into me, leaving the rest of the bumper bashed in...

 

I too, am a customer of Libertyville Acura, (Lake County sales tax is cheaper than Cook) they gave me a great deal on my new '05 NBP when I bought it in Dec. I'm surprised to say the least that they would simply paint a bashed in bumper and not tell you to replace the whole thing.

My experience was great they quoted me a good price. I told them I would not accept the car if it looked at all off. And on top of that the service department gave me an '06 MDX loaner for free to drive around for three days while my car was in the shop. I am now in the process of installing a rearview camera on my TL because I loved the one on the MDX so much.

Which dealer doesn't do body work?

 

I got rear ended last year with my TL and i took my car to a local body where Muller's Acura have there customer cars painted or body worked done.

Continental Acura in Naperville has no body shop. They referred Me to a paintless dent

repair shop.

I also take my car to libertyville acura. They always give me the best price on oil changes and everything else. I went to the bodyshop next to the dealer and they were charging me way to much to repair a scracth on the fender. They said about $500, and another place called Gustafsons in Mundelien gave me a quote for about $300. Gustafsons works on Hondas and Acuras from the Mullers dealerships

 

I know this is off topic, but we are trying to get an acura meet together in or by the chicagoland area.
so if any of you guys are interested, just go by acurazine meets section and you will know what is going on. Im saying this because the more people show up, the better the meet will
