Body Kit Ron Jon vs A-Spec
Body Kit Ron Jon vs A-Spec
I am looking to add a body kit to my 05 TL A/T. I would like to know what everyone thinks would be a nicer look a Ron Jon or A-Spec Body Kit?

you can do a combo. i've seen tl's on here with aspec front and sides with ron jon rear. the two kits are very different in price. that should make your choice easy.

At my age money is no object. I am looking to have fun with my car. I have seen the A-Spec and like the look, but the photos of the RonJon look realy nice.

I personally say the RON JON kit over the A-spec any day of the week. The RJ kit is very "Sporty" and not "Rice" at all and not many people have it. I just got a RJ kit and let me tell you it's been no picnic getting it installed and it ended up running me $3400, prepped, primed, painted and installed. I would recommend if You buy one get it prepped and primed first and then take it to a local shop to get paint matched to your car. That probably would have saved me about $500. If you get the RJ kit do your homework and find a good body shop that has experience with these types of kits. My first shop got the kit and flat out told me they would not paint and install it. They said it could not be done to the quality that I was expecting? This was a shop that came highly recommended but probably does no aftermarket body work. They expected to simply spray some primer and paint and be done. The kit is polyeurothane and definitely needs alot of prep work before it can be painted. If you want a cheaper easy install go to the local Acura dealer and have them put an A-Spec kit on. They look great! However if you really want to turn heads and stand out in a crowd I personally think you should go with the RJ kit. Good Luck!

Every time i see the RJ kit it makes me want to induce vomiting. No No No. ASPEC ftw. The RJ rear looks ridiculous. RJ makes nice wheels... but their bodykits, IMO anyway ARE "ricey."

I was n the same situation as you, trying to decide on RonJon or A-SPEC. On my way home one day I saw about 3 A-SPEC TL's. Right then I decided on the RJ kit.
Do though, make sure you take it to a shop that is willing take their time and properly prep and prime. I did take mine to a cheaper shop. Now im looking to have some work re-done.
A-SPEC = Nice
RJ = NeckBreaker.
