Body kit installation fee

For those who pay for the installation (front, side, and rear body kits), how much did you pay for the charge? I got a quote of $300.

My local bodyshop did everything including a decklid spoiler for $200.00 When I picked up the car the manager who gave me the quote told me that it was more work than he thought it would be but he stuck by the quote. The dealers in the area are charging $600.00 to install the complete kit (Including the spoiler).

I just got my kit installed. I paid $1200 for it for Park Avenue Acura to install it. Peter is right, it is not THAT hard to install it. If you are doing it on your own, I would estimate it takes about 5-6 hours double checking everything, following instructions, etc.

However, I was willing to pay the dealer $300 for the installation, for a few reasons:
-Less hassle for me.
-People were having fitment issues, I would rather have the dealer give me a guarantee on it, than me having to redo it myself.

A lot of people might tell you these two arguments are not worth the $300, but for me it was. I believe someone else also mentioned that you can go to your local bodyshop and get it done, which is still an option, they should be able to offer you a price of around $100-$200 (at least that is my guesstimate for work done in the NY area).

If you haven't ordered the kit already a couple of places you can order them from:
www.a-c-u-r-a-p-a-r-t-s-2-4-7.com
www.h-o-n-d-a-c-u-r-a-w-o-r-l-d.com

Either way you do it, the kit looks amazing in my eyes.
