I have a Motorola V500 with Bluetooth and am using it on the HFL in the TL. I love being able to talk handsfree in the car, but I am having one small problem. I can make outgoing calls fine, but whenever an incoming call comes in, when I push the "answer" button on the steering wheel, the call answers but then IMMEDIATLY transfers to the handset. I either have to pick up the handset or say TRANSFER every time to get the call over the speakers in the car.
Does anyone else have this problem, and if so what phone are you using? I'm trying to figure out if this is a problem with the V500 or the car. I have tried this on 2 seperate V500s now and it does the same thing with both phones. I have not been able to try any other brand phones yet.

I had a V600 and it did the same thing but not all of the time. Also I noticed it happened once in a while with the Nokia 6820 and it happened a couple times with me yesterday with the Z600. I think it has more to do with the system than with the phone.
is this the only phone you have trues with the HFL system?
As you know Motorola's are pretty but somewhat buggy when it comes to software/

This has happened to me three times, I have an S56. All three times I was driving down the same road where I switch to "Extended" service.

I have a v600 and had the same issue. The problem is you have the v500 set to auto answer on the 'car settings' page. Turn that feature off and then you will be able to pick up the call by simply hitting the answer button on the steering wheel.
