Which Bluetooth Phone?
I know there is a sticky about bluetooth phones but I have a specific question I was hoping someone might help with. Im looking to get a bluetooth phone to work with my new 04 TL and was hoping to get rid of my Palm Tungsten C at the same time.
Can someone enlighten me as to the phone that has the most PDA like features like calender, contact list, task list and email functionality. How well does the email on a phone work? Will I be able to use my work account if it is pop3?
Ive spent a few hours researching phones that will work with the TL and so far the winner looks like the Sony Ericsson T616.....too bad the SE P800/900 wont work with the TL they have all the features Im looking for but no profile for the handsfree in the TL.
Any input is appreciated.

FYI: The Sony T610 is the same as the T616 if your cross shopping cell carriers.
In regards to your question. The T616/610 is not going to be a direct replacement for any PDA. IHMO, any PDA is easier to input information with respect to a phone.
I can find a few PDA/phone combos, but at the moment I don’t think any of them support Bluetooth. I think you have to wait a bit for that. However given that, I've purchased a Bluetooth adapter for my PC and successfully transferred contacts, pictures, etc. to and from my T610.
I've not received my TL yet (on order), but I understand that the T61X series pairs well with the TL.

I agree with greenseed. I have the T616 it works exactly as it should with the TL but by no means a pda replacement but it may come close tho... It sincs directly to Outlook so thats a plus. (calendar + contacts) It retrieves pop mail also. The text input is sub par at best. The nokia 6820 is as close to a Pda wtih bluetooth that I've tried on my TL. Call clarity is excellent unfortunately no battery strength or signal strength info in the MId. Bluetooth refuses to re-connect while security key guard is active if the phone is out of the car's range. The phone has a full keyboard, calendar task list, email client capable of 6 accounts stored at the same time (imap and or pop) multiple email per contact in phone book which also stores address. Great phone average bluetooth functionality

Im actually trying to get away with carrying only one device...thats why Im looking for a phone with some pda capability. Right now I have a cell phone and a pda that I carry daily...Id like to carry just one. All these gadgets can get ball and chain like.

My SE616 works perfectly. I actually like Float's mobile agent better than Outlook as it handles pictures etc.

I understand what you want because I have a P800. There isn't a good PDA/phone out there that works with the TL yet.
pop mail, good sync, and a REAL PDA..................just ain't gonna happen. I'm sick because I LOVE my P800. But it must go.

Siemens SX56 is pretty good. It has something the Sony/Ericson's don't (A speakerphone built into it). It also seems to offer better (less software patches) than does the 610/616's.
