Arrow Bluetooth and Nextel

Does anyone know if it is possible to use a Nextel with the Bluetooth system? If so, can you please tell me how I might go about it, I have the Bluetooth and would like to use it.

Thanks

i called nextel about this and was told by 2 different people that nextel doesn't support bluetooth and they have no plans to do so. i guess it has to do with their network (needs to be GSM i'm told). because of this, i'm in the process of porting my # to tmobile.

Bluetooth has nothing to do with the type of cellular signal, it's about wireless connectivity capability and nothing more. I use Sprint, strictly CDMA, and I have a Bluetooth phone. Verizon is also CDMA, but doesn't offer Bluetooth.

The industry still regards Bluetooth as a niche market. The current hot ticket is still camera phones, so we see a continuous glut of new models featuring more and more imaging and video capabilities. There is also a debate that Bluetooth makes it too easy for saavy users to employ a cell phone as a wireless modem, surf the internet for cheap while on the road, which places increased stress on cellular bandwidth capability.

When cellular providers and manufacturers perceive a larger, more profitable demand for Bluetooth phones, they will respond with new models offering Bluetooth capabilities.
