The bluetooth transmitter is in the headrest. It sends out 1.21 jigawatts of power, and there is no way to turn it off.

That would explain why I blacked out during my test drive when I actived the Handsfree Link!

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about radiation from the Bluetooth, your cell phone probably puts out more than Bluetooth ever could. Bluetooth is built to work in a very small radius (I think about 30 feet tops). I image your cell phone or cordless phone at home are more of a radiation hazard than the bluetooth. Heck, the power supply for the HID headlights probably puts out more EM radiation than the Bluetooth.....

The original idea was to have the user's personal network transponder in the heel of their right shoe, with the car's transponder in the brake pedel. The unfortunate side effect of this added weight was that it made folks limp. Finally the whole spec changed, which is why we have Bluetooth not Shoetooth.

Don't forget the other failed attempts. Something OldTooth, and BorrowedTooth.

I had a bluetooth problem that I could not fix for several days, as it turned out it was just due to a food stain not emf.

jtk,

To post an answer to your question (sort of), I would hazard to guess the bluetooth module would be located somewhere in the dash or center console. At least that is where it would make the most sense if the driver would either be wearing the linked cell phone or had put it in the console or carrying it in a brief case or purse somewhere in the cabin. Again, this is a guess, I've not seen anything to indicate where the actual bluetooth module resides. I do know this, it would be nice if it was close to one of the two power points in the car as from what I have read running the phone in bluetooth mode eats up the battery must faster than normal, so if you are on the phone a lot, you will probably need to plug the phone's charger in.
