Blue LEDs are hot to me, and the radar detectors are coming in blue LEDs (BEL for ex. costs more in blue) as an alternative now as well. Red is just the normal standard, but a blinking blue says back the hell up just as easy! (and looks better doing it! IMO)

I agree with you Dark, the Compustar alarm comes with a blue LED telling everyone to back off.. Blue, Red, Purple, it doesn't matter.. If there is an led blinking in the window, probably don't want to try and break in..

The blue is much nicer than the regular red.....IMO

Compliments the already blue interior on the TL

Kennedy, your interior is nuts. I haven't seen anything like that before. Then again, there aren't too many TLs around where I live, and the ones that are around here are driven by "old" people who aren't really doings mods.

I know right? Very cool and very easy! I can take the door panel off now even when it's cold as hell outside (pause) NOT!!! (Like Borat) LOL!

I don't work in the cold man! But yeah Steve, it was an easy DIY thanks to Kennedy with the hookup!

Na I don't do cold either...........I find as I get older I have less and less tolerance for the cold.

Yeah that Kennedy is a great guy - I'm really happy with the light and the fact that he made a couple extra for us.

My blue light came today, 30 minutes later it was in, and the door locks were cut down about 5/8 inch... Much better now with lower locks and blue light.. Only one problem, I broke the plastic piece on the side of the door panel... nice 1.5 inch crack down it.. not happy, but at least you can only see it when door is open .....

thanks again kennedy

Are you talking about the piece that the lower part of the LED assembly snaps into, or the part of the door panel where you screw in the screw with that rubber stopper around it? Then after you answer that...how?

The piece where the rubber stopper goes, up at the top... I got a little rambunctious (sp?) trying to pry the door panel out a bit to get my hands in there to unplug the light... no biggie, like I said, cannot see it unless the door is open, and I doubt many people will even notice....

Yikes - I'm thinking door panel - rubber stopper.........cuz I almost did that.
I wasn't using the KTC? trim tools I bought. Once I switched to those it was much easier.........

I still don't know what he is talking about. But oh well, it probably is easy to replace if you wanted to Willie. But seeing as how it's no biggie...whatever right?

But at least you have your fancy light!

Nope, it is where the red circle is, up top.. You can only see it if you are looking at the door from outside.......

Heyyy...you live in Md!! Whatup Willie! LOL!

Man you were eager to do this mod if you tore that part huh? LOL! You must have just yanked it instead of working your way up underneath. (Listen at me Steve like I'm a pro huh? Hahahahaha!) So you actually tore part of the paneling itself? Wow! I guess that is a leave it be type of thing if you can't really see it. Doesn't seem like it will be a problem unless you left your windows down and it was raining.

Scratch that, they arrived today. already did the tweets and center a few months ago. Love em, and I agree with you, especially from Adobeman on the speaker installs.

Wow. A lot of you guys are going the Infinity route. What is another good competitor that you guys have tried? Or did you just hear about the Infinity speakers on here from Adobeman or Kennedy and decided to go that route? Just curious, because I love some good highs and I know that is a trademark of Infinity speakers. I'm trying to break myself out of my chicken-shit way of not wanting to personally mod shit that involves cutting wires and soldering and all of that crap. This will be a good lil start in that direction...

I went with Adobeman & Kennedy - I trust them both and consider their knowledge top notch. Works out great (I can ask a really lame question - because I don't any better) and they give me the help & support I need.

I bought a soldering gun today too....LOL This will be a learning experiance all around for me.

By summer I'll have all Infinity...........the rear deck is next

I received the harness from Crutchfield today for the doors...........they are great to deal with BTW
