From what I have seen the people that have this have done it on their own.. they put the headlight in the oven - there's a few DIYs.

I'm too scared to try it... that and I don't have a TL yet

put their headlight in the oven? haha you're talking about cleared out headlights... but yeah, its a pretty simple DIY.. you can buy the headlight tinting kit from rockblocker (quailty stuff) and then just apply it on yourself.. took me a few trys but i got it down and it looks great

What kind of blackout look are you trying to get? You could bake the headlights and then paint certain interior parts a dark gray chrome color.. =/

You are correct - but after baking the headlights, some (like myself, well the second time) choose to paint most of the chrome pieces black.

Yep the DIY is really nicely done but still, not anybody will try to put their HLights in the oven to seperate them in half. It does give a CRAZY LOOK to the car, maybe i'll try this after my CARPC will be installed.

good luck finding an auto shop that will actually take apart your headlights..
it's pretty much a self do mod

the bonafide blacking headlights.
none of that "tinting headlight" stuff.. you spray paint the chrome/silver reflector black. I coated it 3-5 times with curing in btw.

As long as you don't crank the oven heat up super high, there isn't much to worry about (that is also assuming your oven is big enough for the headlights to fit in there)
