XM/Sirius wasn't offered in Canada at that time so why put the antenna on the car? Make sense?
im about to order a high gloss black vinyl from ebay for $50 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT) or 47 shipped from AckTL05 here on AZine but wanna about to make a thread about removal experience/removal issues cant find anything on it and not trying to thread jack...
Just like the black around our doors/windows aren't painted from the factory. I guess that's not right either huh?
I'm enjoying everyones examples whether painted or not. Ig gives people the opportunity to see it done either way. From pix I couldnt tell if it were painted or not.

Do you understand why they are doing black roofs now? Cars with dual panel sunroofs, It looks better that having 2 dark areas on the roof. Making the whole roof one color scheme makes for a monochromatic look verxes seeing 2 pieces of glass in the middle of say a red or white roof. In my opinion it updates the look of the 3rd gen to newer vehicles that MB/BMW are bringing out.

^^^ for 2hrs. with a heat gun and $50 from ebay im happy and have recieved nothing but compliments even from a professional vinyl layer!!! posted an ebay link on page 1... i know theres only 2 pics but let me know what yall think...

^ seeing your picture reminds of my brothers roof spoiler was stolen last week in Brooklyn NY! whoever did it, did it professionaly since there wasn't any scratches or broken windows! he have a nice alarm and the spoiler was installed with window weld plus something else!!

other than that 2hs with a heat gun; squeegee; and a spray bottle full of soapy water... and ya i just cut around it diddnt just pop off...20'' MSR 096 gunmetal... i love them cz there not black and have like a 4'' lip all around...

I love the look of mine. Wrapping the xm/navi antenna is a pita, so I found a black one on www.car-part.com for $30. That way if I want to go back to white roof, I take the vinyl off and swap the white antenna back on.
