Where are you getting it from? I'm still looking for a source for hood overlays.

Is there a specific point in doing this or is it just for looks?

It's just for looks.

Gloss FTW. I'm hoping to have mine done within the next few months

Don't paint. Use vinyl.

Yep. Resale value may be affected, if that is a concern for you. Plus you can change it up if you end up growing tired of it later on.

theres a million and 5 reasons to not go to a car wash, but thats another topic.

vinyl will come off semi easy aslong as u have access to a heatgun, no not a hair dryer, they dont get hot enough. u will need to heat up the vinyl which in turn heats the glue and makes it easier to peel. it will not damage the paint aslong as u dont play hercules and try to pull it off in 1 shot. dont use ur fingernail, a plastic razor blade would be best since it wont dig into the paint like ur nail will.

if its quality vinyl with quality glue there will be no problem with car washes

OP - flat colors only work if u have a matte paint job, otherwise it looks cheap IMO
