Black License Plate Bolts?
Cudo's to Acrua for using quality brass coloured plate screws. That said, I'd like to replace them with black or even grey ones to match more closely the smoked plate covers and the ASM color of my car. Anyone sources the two type of screws in black anywhere? FWIW, yes, I live in a place where I need to run a front plate so I'd need the front screw type fastners and the bolt type rear ones as well. TIA .

Thanks for the reminder. I couldn't find any black ones so I painted the brass screws black, and you reminded me to check them. After two years they needed a little touch-up, but at least they aren't rusting.
The ones in the back are 6mm and take a 10mm socket. The front are probably the same but I don't use a front plate and don't remember where the original bolts are so I can't check.

It's a good idea to take one of the bolts with you and match the threads.

How about bolt cover plates?
I saw some bolt cover plates at the local auto parts store (Pep Boys) used to cover the bolts for black plate frames. Otherwise, you can also get the black plastic bolts, or paint the heads of the existing metal bolts (as another poster mentioned above). The plastic bolts won't rust, while painting the existing bolts means you won't have to worry about the size of replacement bolts.

Thanks for the posts folks - now I have the bolt sizes I'll try and source them from a local shop [Brofasco]. Ron A - what did you use to paint them black with and did ya do it on the car of off the car and then install the screws? Only reason I ask is I considered doing this but I was concerned about chipping etc. FWIW, on my car the rear plates use "Bolts" as you all described above but the from plate is held on by self tapping "screws". Man do I hate front plates .
