Best Method to Resell the TL?

Hey guys. Don't hate me, but I need to sell my car. I'm moving to New York and I can't take it with me. It's been up on Autotrader for over a week with no luck. Has anyone heard of others selling their TL.. and what methods did they use?

That's how I sold my Audi in three days. Remember to ask for about 5% more than you will really take so that the buyer will feel like he's getting a deal when he negotiates you down.

eBay really DOES work. You may not get top dollar but you can sell it in as little as three days as long as your reasonable on the asking price.

Just in case you didn't know... New York DOES still have roads (although few use them).

Thanks.. I can't get along in New York paying for both car and rent, so the car has to go. I'll definately check into the local paper. I'm surprised I haven't gotten more offers because I'm selling it cheaper than any of the dealers are selling their autos without navi.

As ndabunka says, Ebay does work......several friends have purchased cars on Ebay without even test driving them.

Damn,

There's no one selling pre-owned 2004 TLs up here!

Only saw 2, and both are dealership cars.

So what's a good strategy for Ebay?
Start at 31K and let them bid higher?

Way to many on Ebay (2nd gen. that is), I wasted alot of time on there. But AutoTrader and Cars.com $50 until it sells sold it less than a week.

That doesn't seem to work well. Frequently, if you start the bidding at a "fair" price, you won't attract a single bid. Better to start the bidding at $100 or something ridiculous and attract lots of bids. Then people seem to feel the auction is more legitimate or something and will be comfortable bidding when the price finally gets more reasonable, when they see that there are a dozen bids or something already.

Be sure to set a reserve price at the minimum amount you'll really take, of course.

All the ones around here WITH NAVI are around 29K. Of course the dealers are asking more, but I would never buy a used car from a dealer just because they mark it up since they are a dealer/
