[QUOTE=Frosty;15121231]That almost sounds like your order went through on the GT Lighting site, but your actual payment didn't go through on the merchant site. I would email the seller (gtlighting@hotmail.com) to make sure they received your payment. All 4 sets that I've ordered have arrived within 2 days.
Frosty,
I sent gtlighting an email asking about my order. Lights never showed up nor have I received an shipping email.
The only email i got was the "glory trading transaction receipt". I sent the order ID # and transaction ID# to them.
I'll report back on what happened.
Figures my order gets messed up some how......

The vleds one doesn't list the 07-08 TL and I am confused about that diagram on the site. Do we need the pass side resistor if its not connected to anything at all? Makes no sense if the relay harness is getting connected to the new bulb and working off the drivers side resistor.
The resistor simulates a load tricking the computer into thinking it's a light bulb.
By doing so it prevents the orange DRL error light from illuminating.
That kit will work for 2004-2008 tl.
The picture they have is a 07-08 TL type s....
Also the kit I'm using is like that. I have a resistor hooked up to my passenger side connector and plugged into nothing...

The reason why you put a resistor to the passenger side and leave it un connected to anything is to trick the computer system.

I have led drls now. I have the ijdmtoy kit and vleds bulbs. The color of the ijdmtoy bulbs didn't match. The kit I have has the gold box inline with the harness. I tried plugging into that last night and got nothing. I am going to try to reverse the harness plug from the bulb when it gets plugged into the ijdmtoy kit. Hopefully that will work.

I messaged the seller about this and he's said he's looking into it right now. You should be hearing from him soon. Keep us posted!
Now I'm really thinking it's only the plug that needs reversed because I just remembered that my mom's SRX fogs used a 9005 also (same as H10), and it definitely looked like I was plugging them in the right way the first time (according to the clips and what not), but obviously I wasn't. Give it a shot!

Just tried it and it worked. Wasn't overly impressed with how it looked head on. It could be because it wasn't sitting right. But it is looking like my vled bulbs are brighter within the housing if that makes sense. When I get home I'll give it another go and take pics.

Still no email from the seller Frosty......
Just called and it went straight to voice mail. Left a message.
I checked my credit card and they did charge it so I don't know what the hang up is but they better get back to me soon.....

Apparently everyone that orders them gets them in like two days....except me. It's been a week and I haven't even got a shipping notice.
Starting to get a little upset. Still no response.....

Finally got an email from the seller, he says he never got any of my emails but i double checked the email address and it was correct.
Who knows, maybe something got messed up. I'll report back on what happens.
Thanks Frosty for getting my contact information to him.

For some reason my order showed on the sellers system as "not paid" even though it was. After sorting out the details, I now have a tracking number and he threw in some LED dome lights for the hassle.
Sh!t happens as we all know and he made it right. Excited to get my new LEDs, just thought I would let everyone know.

From what I've gathered, YES, you will need a relay harness to provide these LEDs with the 12v that they require to power on. This kit will work, and it looks like they also include the resistors needed to eliminate the error code on the dash.

This guy here.
Comes into this thread NUMEROUS times to bash and complain about these LEDs.
Lets recap all the positive and helpful things he has said.
1. "Philips HIR2 and HIDs are better than these LEDs"
2. "How can these LEDs be the "best" there's another website that sells 3000 lumen LEDs for $140 + shipping? Those are the best"
3. "The cutoff isn't impressive to me at all"
4. "Am I the only one concerned about the ridiculously bad cutoff of the 9006 foglamps?"
Like another member mentioned already the high beams on all 04-08 TLs are coming from the XENON D2S BULB. We DO NOT have a halogen bulb that serves the purpose of a high beam.
You owned a 3G TL since 2005 and still didn't know that?
DRLs only get 6v therefore they are running at 50%. Don't know where you got the "70%" from.
Lastly the DRLs never run at 100% because when you hit the high-beams a shutter in the headlight projector moves and allows the D2S HID XENON light to shine more upwards.
And that is why YOU NEED A RELAY HARNESS TO SUPPLY A FULL +12V TO POWER THESE LEDS.
I'm dying to hear what useful information you have to say next.

I remember reading the 70% part (and all the other things you listed), I didn't realize it was all the same guy. It is pretty shameful to have owned a 3G TL for so long and not know these basic lighting facts. But it wouldn't be a proper forum without misinformation, right? lol
Most of these high-power LEDs that are sold by various vendors state that the running voltage is between 9 and 14 volts, so it seems to me that these bulbs wouldn't even turn on when swapping them out, hence the need for a harness.

I was out and about last night and amazed at how bright these fogs are. It was nice to have actual usable light in comparison to my old set-up. I didn't get a chance to get any night pics yet but I hope to soon

Ok, seriously? That beam pattern is an absolute mess. Sure you increased the lumens over the stock bulbs but almost none of that extra light is going where it's supposed to. Much of it looks to be going straight over the intended cutoff and into opposing drivers' eyes.
Why not go HIR? It's half the price, nearly the same lumens and most importantly, you get a correctly focused beam that actually puts the extra light where it's needed and not in people's eyes.
These may look "sik phresh dopez cuz they match yo HIDz yo!" but really all you're doing is turning your functional fog lights into glaring bling lights. I really hope you don't drive with these on against opposing traffic, because if you do, you're frankly being a dick to other drivers.
So sorry for the negativity. If this were just a matter of taste I would leave it alone, but since lighting is a matter of safety, I felt this thread was in need of a reality check.

Since Frosty's car is in the 04-06 range, my thought is that if the cutoff is not where it's supposed to be, that's the fault of the reflector housing, rather than the bulb itself, since the housing should be aiming the light more towards the front of the car rather than farther out. I could be wrong.

And to answer your question, "Why not go HIR?", personally, I'm just over halogen lights completely. They seem so old-fashioned to me, and it's almost silly to use them now, when LEDs have come so far. Halogen output is less, they create extra heat in the light housing, and the color is awful. I'm sure you've noticed, but some of the newer cars (TLX being of them) are even replacing their HIDs with LEDs.

Frosty's foglamp cutoff:
My 9006 cutoff:
Hmm, to me it looks like my 9006 cutoff is a lot sharper, but I must just be jealous of the led fogs. Not that I can go buy HIR1 and mod them to fit my foglamps and have 300+ lumens more than those led's, and not blind people.
It has nothing to do with where the foglamps are located on the 04-06 models. It has to do with bulbs that are not meant to be in reflector housings. That's why the beam pattern is so random.

My bulbs are on the way, will probably install them tomorrow. I already know the beam pattern is gonna be fucked, probably worse than the HIDs I have in there now. I really never have the fogs on at night, I use them in place of a DRL during the day cause my car doesn't have DRLs. A little glare in sunlight isn't a big deal, I could see these being annoying at night. Probably should only be in a projector or maybe a very small focused housing.
