Best glare/heat rejection tint?

I'm looking to go 50% around (appearance preference) and need a tint that is very good at reducing glare and heat at a higher % tint. I've read that cermaic is good but expensive $350-$500 (all windows minus windshield). Are there tint brands that are a little cheaper ($200 plus)?

if you have navi I'd be careful as some tints reduce your gps signal and radio signal.

I do have nav so that's why I'm leaning towards ceramic.

I have CharCool...35% all around (except windshield) and here in CO the sun gets pretty brutal this time of year. Definitely cools down the interior and cuts glare by a lot. Just my $.02

And my install came to about $208 with tax. Not bad IMO.

Thanks man! If I'm reading it right the 55% Charcool tint has a total rejection of 29%. Some of the ceramics are @ 40% and up but there is a significant cost increase. This is where I'm stuck.

If you don't have Navi, then go with the ceramic tints. The reduction is amazing, and that's no exaggeration on my part. I went through a laundry list worth of tints on my previous Accord (owned it for 13 years) and the ceramic tints (my last set) was worth every penny.

I miss my old tint.

I thought ceramic was recommended if you had navi? I can't really find anyone is south jersey/philly that uses ceramic.

California Tint in Rosemead does a decent job. I do have some very tiny specs/bubbles in my rear window tint but it's not enough for me to drive all the way back there to have them redo. I'll live with it. They have very limited tint selection to choose from in terms of brands.

As for ceramic tints, I think it's best to do some additional research for yourself. Different brands and manufacturers kind do a play-on-words.

Had mine (Huper Optik ceramic) done at Song's Tint Masters in LA ... they had a bunch of expensive cars there, but when it came time to do my car they broke a bunch of trim pieces and there's a few tiny bubbles in a few windows too.

The best is Huper Optik, hands down. But it's certainly not the cheapest. I paid $400 for it back in 2003. Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.

+1.

That's what I've got right now as well. But, the OP wasn't looking to spend > $200.

That antenna is solely for your XM radio. I want to say that our FM/AM radio antenna and Navi antenna are integrated into the rear windshield.

I thought the gps and xm were up on the roof but only radio was in rear window. Also if I understood things well tint affects AM more than FM.
