Best ATF?

I haven't been able to find a definite answer on which ATF are good for the tranny except for Redline Racing ATF. I rather not use that, but that's just me.

Would Redline D4 ATF Be best?

I don't mind ordering online, just what ever is best because I'm about to put the car into the shop for the ATF 3x3 drain/refill.
Sorry if this has been asked multiple times but I failed at searching :P

Get D4 that will work better than Honda's shit fluid if you do not want to use Type F

If you're scared/worried, just do 4 quarts Redline Racing with 5 quarts of D4. You won't have a problem...

I use nothing but Honda ATF-DW1, and I recommend you do the same. You should change every 30k miles to be safe.

I recommend the Redline Type-F fluid, do the 3x3. It's worth how much the fluid is.

I'm considering this.
But what would be the advantage of having 4 quarts Racing / 5 quarts D4 opposed to all 9 quarts of D4.

I've read a lot of the "The Optimal Percentage of Racing ATF"

The higher percentage you have of Type-F (up to like 65% I believe as now that is the optimal percantage), the faster your shifts are going to be. Since type F has no Friction Modifiers you can mix the two to get a well blended solution (D4 has FM). This eliminates running too much Type F which some members claimed cause problems for their tranny.

I am almost at 60K and am going to do a 3x3 in about 2 weeks. I plan on using 2 quarts Racing, 2 quarts lightweight, and 5 of D4

^ the shifts will not be faster. You will just feel them a bit more.
