Been away for some time....

Hey everyone, I used to be on this forums all the time when I had my 2002 tl-s but then two cars later im driving a 2008 cobalt ss/tc. I love the car for the power and fuel economy but I want to go back to a little more luxury. I was thinking of buying a 2007 acura tl... im not sure if i should go for the type-s becuase it doesnt seem to make too much more power. Honestly when I have a car that weighs 3100lbs and makes 300 whp/330wtq its gonna suck to get something that is a lot slower. My old TL made 256 / 222 and it was plenty of power. I want to make these numbers with an 07 tl and i dont think the 3.5 really is the answer. Would an 03 tl with intake exhaust headers pullies and spacers make around 250-260 wheel? If it can then no need for a type s for me. any other suggestions / help would be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

The Type-S makes almost 30 more horsepower than the regular TL, at 286hp. I think there was a fully bolted TL-S that broke 300whp a while back. Don't see how the 3.5 isn't the answer to power.

just going by some dyno videos that I have seen. I also looked on here and saw that baseline dynos were around 225 for the 3.5 and like 205 for the 3.2 but when things were fully bolted they were both around 250ish. Ive been away from these cars for a while so I may be wrong, thats why I need you guys to chime in.

Pretty sure it wasn't with S/C, you'd break well past 300whp running any kind of boost. IIRC he was auto, too.

Power-wise, 3.5>3.2.

For the minimal price difference between the two, it doesn't make sense to me to get a non S.
