Hmm.. I must be missing something. I had my Sub speaker on +3 today and I really didn't notice anything. So I pop in the DVD that comes with the car and hit track 24 or something to hear the cheezy audio test.

So finally I reach the sub and .. umm.. I like don't hear anything. Even with the volume at 40. Ugh.. Looks like my sub is dead or something. Soo sad.

Anyone else out there have this same prob?
Does the DVD suck at showing off the sub?

Could it be as easy as connecting the sub to the speaker wire, or connecting the speaker wire to the head unit? Possibly. Take it in for a diagnostic!

hmmm... most people complain about how much bass there is in this car. there has to be something wrong with it. take it in and have them look at it.

Actually, if you're talking about the usual "thumping" bass, most people comment about this car not having that. But if you're talking about clean bass, it does have that. It's definitely not going to win any SPL wars. As a matter of fact, I think my stock '97 Maxima's Bose speakers hit harder than the sub in the TL -- and those I think were just 6 or 6 1/2's in the back.

I listened to that track on the demo DVD too. I could barely hear the subwoofer at all. I think this is by design. Note the designer actually manages our expectations on that track by calling the subwoofer "subtle".
