+1 on the RSB! I bought a used one from another member. Best mod I've done yet. You may want to look through here for some other ideas:

RSB for handling, j-pipe for power. the CAI will only yield a few HP at most. many will say it's a noise maker only (i have the said noise maker on my TL). however this was before i ventured on here (too little too late).

lots of threads for the RSB and the various j-pipes. just depends on what you want to do with YOUR car.

Are you auto or stick? I have an auto and just put on a manual RSB, it's 20MM vs 17MM and the car feels way better, I bought it for $25 on eBay. J pipe did make a nice power gain at about $400. CAI improves throttle response a little but no real power gain, it does sound very aggressive though, I paid $75 for one on eBay. I don't have them yet but precat deletes seem to be the best bang for the buck in terms of power increase. At least for me this car is never gonna feel fast compared to everything I've owned before it so handling seems like the best bang for the buck so it's fun to drive with the power it makes.

You can't gain a lot of power by buying the cheap stuff

Save your money and get a j-pipe.

It might help to define cheap for you, $1000 catback is in price cheaper than a $5000 supercharger etc but to some people it means $100 or less...

J-pipe for sure. If you want an inexpensive mod, consider a Throttle Body Spacer too.

FOR SURE the Progress Rear Sway Bar. Can't tell you how much body roll it fixed. I've had it for ~5 months and I still feel it every time I corner hard.

well i bought the unorthodox underdrive pulley with the belt and hes had it over a year. i paid 100 bucks. is this a good deal? and i have a 07 base tl and im not sure if this pulley will fit in my car? the model is unorthodox racing p/n 0206114 ((rev a d f 06)not sure if this is relevant to the part number. will i be able to install this into my 07 TL? cuz the person who sold it to me has older TL and his was supercharged. i dont know much about these parts so do u guys think i should keep it if it will fit? and how bad will it kill my power? feedback is appreciated

why are you buying random parts you seemingly know nothing about onto your car? just wondering. there is a huge wealth of info on AZ regarding mods for the TL. you ask us for"cheap" mods and you've gone and spent $100 on a part you have know idea if it fits or if you got a deal on it.

i'm just saying

you need to have a goal (vision) for your ride rather than randomly throwing parts at the car and hope it becomes something. so ask yourself what are my goals for modding this car? what is the purpose of each mod?

I agree with TLtrigril.

what is it that you're not happy with?
in what ways would you like to modify the car?

cheap and TL should not be used in the same sentence.

TLtrigirl for the win. You'll waste a bunch of money if you don't figure out what it is you want to actually do with the car. There is enough info here to learn a lot about damn near anything you can think of, so research before buying.
