hey guys i have a 04 base model TL. I was wondering if a 07-08 type s front lip would fit on my car? Not to sure what fits and what doesnt. The 07-08 type s front is my favorite look to the 3rd gen TL. Any help would be really appreciated!

 

Yep, it should fit - no problem.

 

you will need a 07-08 base or Type S bumper to mount the Type S lip.

 

Wrong^^^^ it can be done but u need to do some trimming around the bottom corner of the fog lights

there is a thread on here somewhere showing how to do it

 

ok its can be done but I guess people are fine with two holes on the bottom.

 

i cant tell if you're being serious or trolling but the answer is NO it does NOT fit unless you modify your bumper... 04-06 front and rear bumpers are different from 07-08

unless you are comfortable with cutting into your oem bumper with a dremel i would just stick to the 04-06 lip
same goes for the Type-S Rear, that will also NOT fit your TL unless you chop a section of your rear bumper off

 

i fit the type-s lip on my 05 after cutting on my bumpers. just gotta trim around the corners of fog light cut out and for the rear, just trim exhaust cut out. i dont really care if i have holes in my bumper, never taking these lips off.

i say do it! looks 10x better than base in my opinion--more aggressive.

 

I wasn't trolling, but I did misread his question. I thought the OP was asking if the Type-S bumper would fit his base model with no issues, not the A-Spec lip kit.

I'm new to the UA's, just bought my TL-S a few weeks ago. The lip kit posted by DesertMistTL, as I understand it, is the A-Spec lip kit for 07-08. There's another A-Spec lip kit for the 04-06 that looks slightly different, correct?
