BAN BoltJames
no one should be banned i think. just ignore him. every time bj posts something i tend to read it twice now since most of his stuff is BS but still banning him. it's a waste of time since he can register as someone else anyway and continue.
I did come across one of his post that actually made good sense, but then there are those juvenile comments that makes me think that there actually could be two boltjames – Jeckyl / Hyde? And then there are those comments he makes that are just absolutely uncalled for. He has thrown out both racial and sexual slurs that are totally uncalled for. For all this, I’d say kick him out. Ignoring him didn’t work for me because there are so many responses to his ignorance that I end up confused reading half of the argument. Just ban him all together. That way this site will be truly beneficial – information sharing among TL drivers at courteous level.

Obviously everyone is due their own opinion, but I disagree this site isnt just about sharing information about our beloved TL's, its about networking...building relationships...friends. Its about expressing how we feel about certain things posted and giving our own opinions as why...so everyone can be as educated as possible about the question or topic posted.
Does BJ say somethings that might bother people...yeah probably so, but I live in a glass house as do many others here and criticizing someone for being themself without out evidence of personal attack is borderline hypocritical when thats exactly whats going on here.
Vote to ban BJ...I vote we delete this stupid thread and get back to talking cars...this is a waste of time and webspace. I am sorry I even read this thread.

I think BJ is often funny as hell, he's welcome here.
Hey! Bolt James might be a bigoted, loud-mouth, opinionated asshole but he's OUR bigoted, loud-mouth, opinionated asshole! We all have our moments. So, he has more than most. Get over it. "That which does not kill me makes me a better person." -Goethe
If NeronBob can forgive and forget, who are we to do otherwise.
I'll just repeat my advice to BoltJames: Double-up on the Prozac and switch to decaf.

Didn't we have the similar thread here weeks ago to another guy? BOSS will delete this thread very soon...
My answer is "nay"... but I don't vote, either, you don't have the choice I like...
If you don't like what he posts, please use that little triangle to report bad post... I think BOSS will listen.

With most of the people who frequent this forum we get interesting car talk. With others it's a little like going to the zoo. Both can be enjoyable. It can certainly break up the cupholder/EL42/Headliner monotony.

News flash: More high school students die on the roads each year as a direct result of speeding than as a consequence of a random shooting by a ratio of about 300:1 I'd estimate.
So shove your twisted morals and your death-speed technology up your fuc*ing ass, okay? Better yet, go do 115 MPH on the Bruckner and shed no tears as you plow into a school bus. But hey- at least you didn't get a ticket, right?

It isn't a question of whether you agree with his commentary or not. Those who are emphatically against speeding might agree. Those with radar detectors probably would not. Personally, not that bolt should care what I think, but I happen to agree his original Columbine comment would have been better off left unsaid. I would also not personally have posted that autopsy pic.
But that's not the point. Bolt's comments, whether you agree with them or not, are entertaining, intelligent, creative, and most important, thought-provoking. And THAT is the point. What makes free speech valuable is that it promotes free thought, an exchange of ideas, an opportunity for people to think through stuff and decide for themselves. Which of course sometimes lead to debates, arguments, and spirited but playful insults of the "Jane, you ignorant slut" variety.
Unfortunately there is a small but vocal minority in America who are afraid of other people's opinions and afraid of the ways other people express themselves. Such people want us all to cower under some sort of moral code of THEIR choosing. Screw that. Certainly, morality and ethics are important in general. But what makes life in America so great is that none of us gets to be King and we all have to learn to get along anyway.
Ban someone? From a fucking Internet board? About a car? That's actually a far more ridiculous concept than just about anything that's come out of bolt's electronic mouth.

I went back and read a few posts to see what the excitement was about. He may be harsh at times but nothing worth getting banned over. Some posts are actually informative. BJ makes this board at least a little interesting.
Lighten up. It's a web board about a car, not brain surgery.
