I've experimented some with the black chroming. I have two rear A's black chromed but haven't put either one on my car yet. I plan on putting the darker of the two on my car and then selling the other one.

Here are pics that I took last year of them in different lighting and holding them up to my car. The angle and intensity of light changes their look.

Pic taken inside:

Pic taken outside:

Pic of lighter one against car (want to sell this one):

Pic of darker one against car (going to put this one on when I remember to):

The color depth of the lighter one is just a tad darker then the set SteveP66 (RIP) bought from me. They looked sweet on ssm.

It's actual color added to the chrome. I had it done at www.atlaschrome.com If you check out the huge grill thread that darksom1 started last year there are more details/pics there.

how do you think a black rear logo would look on a silver TL. I was thinking along the lines of flat back for the badge. Any thoughts?

I found that dental floss was snapping on me because the glue was so hot after heating it up. I went and got some fishing line (the thinest I could find) and it worked great. Then used all the other products mentioned and it looks great. Can't notice where the letters were and it makes the car that much cleaner
