I don't think its a major deal, most people won't even notice, if any of you are in project management of marketing you would understand its to save money. A seat cusion does not warrant a brand new photoshoot.

Butt Prints
I have the same interior, quartz, in a 05 car (with the extra panel) and got butt prints almost immediately. I drove an 04 with parchment for several months with no butt prints. Maybe there is a difference in interiors.
I think the picture is awful and Acura displayed bad judgement for using it in advertising.

Ya that's really stupid for them to do!!!
also, they should have put NAVI in there rather than the non-navi model...get people wondering about the navi and how it looks with the TL...nice flush look and features may sell navi more, hence more money for them...u gotta advertise properly acura!!!

Oh well, Acura IS a value brand now we see what that money is being saved on.......Marketing. You sure as hell won't find this type of slip up in a BMW brochure.

besides only we as a group would notice the seat is different.... 99.9% of customers wouldnt even realize. we only do because we are owners, and will look at a different level. so they are still getting their point across. especially since it has been the best selling car in its segment, mistake or not.
also their bread and butter sales are non-navi units. as much as we would like to think otherwise, far more non-navi units are bought then navi. every now and again, showing what truly sells the most isnt poor advertising. its strengthing their base clientel.
they really should have used a car without the "butt prints" however... even though i dont notice them until they are pointed out to me

Big deal... are you all willing to pay an extra few bucks on your TL so some brochure photo shows an extra seam on the seat?
Who do you think ultimately pays for marketing??
Maybe BMW would update their photos, but have you priced a comparably equipped a 3-series recently? $40K+. Think about it.

I was wondering whether or not Honda/Acura has discovered this inappropriate pic on their brochurs and sites. It seems not to be a big deal to those managers of Honda/Acura. But, at least, the update on their website won't cost too much, right? This is the simple update Acura PR should be able to adjust and make it right.
I think what we're talking is just about doing it right. If I DO care about this product and my firm is running the stupid thing like this, someone would be fired, except I believe the butt-print is "completely normal" and there is nothing wrong inside the pic. Who doesn't want to show the best prodcut pictures on their promotion brochure and website?

Have you seen the latest commercial for the Honda Accord? The ebony leather is VERY wrinkled (looks rather plush to me) all over... I think if our cars came that way from the factory we wouldn't have this thread.
