I got my new TL last week. (Yes, it's great!)

Two days after purchase, someone noticed my left rear brake rotor looked very worn (a lot like a used rotor). It is not warped, but it has lots of concentric gouges that look like something was stuck between the pad and rotor which dug into the rotor. If I run my fingernail along the rotor radially (from the center outward), I can feel the ridges. The other three rotors are smooth as glass. All four rotors have the normal rust marks on them.

I took it to my dealer earlier this week. The service guy came back and said that he, his service manager, and a service tech all agree that it is just normal wear and should go away after a couple thousand miles. (I've got 600 on it now). I reluctantly conceded and drove off. I hoped to find some posts on here that back up the dealer's claim, but I have found none.

Anyone else have a similar problem or know enough about brakes to offer a suggestion?
