Backseat

How often do you have people sitting in the backseat? Do you worry about people kicking the trim in the back when they move from driver rear/passenger rear side to the middle seat or from one side to the other? How durable is the vinyl that is behind the driver and passenger front seat?

Backseat durability

Well, let's put it this way: I have 2 young kids, and they both love to jump into the back, crawl over each other to get "their" seat. They mark up the leather and vinyl a bit, but it washes right off with lexol. No tears or damage that I can see as of yet.

I also am usually the designated driver when going to lunch at work and have people pile into the back. Haven't noticed any issues from that yet.

Haven't had to deal with this on a regular basis yet, but I'm taking notes on how to take car of my interior. Since the TL is a four door, I'll have to keep up with the backseats since I've already had a couple of instances where I've had haul folks around in the backseat.....

Put some 303 Aerospace Protectant on and it is easy to wipe the dirt off. It gets soiled very easy and with protectant guarding it can be easily wipes off. The material is pretty durable I'd say.

Do what I do...buy those big things you put over shoes for the rear passengers. Can be had at home depot....j/k.

I almost never have people in the back seat and with no kids yet it would only be adults and I trust them to take care of my new car. I have a rule of no food or drinks. Maybe after 6 months I'll allow water!!

Do the protectants or Lexol stain clothing?

20K - 14 months old - no one has ever sat back there. Only me when I am detailing seats or trying to clean rear window. Back seat is mint condition.
