Auto to manual conversion is it possiable?

100% agree with Xx06SickspdTlxX. Go for the factory version. However for grins, here is the link to fsttyms1's AT-to-MT project for his 2nd Gen.

it would cost alot of money to get it converted to an MT, you would need need a new guage cluster, steering wheel due to the paddles, ECU change, transmission change, and a bunch of wiring harnesses.

I currently own a 3rd gen tl-s auto and dearly regret not getting a manual.

And I'd have to say a definite no no to the conversion part.

Trade it. Don't even THINK about "converting" it. It would never be right and would cost you a lot more than you'll lose on a trade.
Most of my cars have been manuals.
That being said, my '07 TL-S feels "right" with an automatic. I didn't even consider an automatic until I drove one. The first thing that came into my mind when I drove one was that an automatic is the "right" transmission for this car.
I'm sure the 6 speed is fine for those who got it, but there are issues with that choice. Torque steer is non-existent in the automatic cars, yet quite prevalent in the 6 speed cars. Later 6 speed TL cars limit power in the lower gears to "solve" that problem, but that seems like a very large band-aid to me.
Knowing that in advance made buying an automatic that much easier.
Yes, the 6 speed will be faster.
But many cars are faster than a 6 speed TL, so that's largely a moot point.

I gotta agree.
It's "possible" but redonkulously expensive. Better off selling ang getting a MT. Whatever the cost it will be cheaper than the swap.
The TL is still not going to be really fast, if you cant stand it, buy a Mustang.
