I was wonding if our community can help my installer and myself out with this problem. The dealer is installing the system, but a 3rd party is installing it.

I had an AudioVox Alarm system w/ remote start installed. The installer can't seem to have the passive mode working correctly. What I mean by that is this....

When the doors are open, the alarm arms itself after 5 min. He said that the passive mode is monitored by the overhead light operation. The problem is.. Acura has the light go off after 5 min (power save).. which arms the alarm... Do you guys know how to change that option to not turn off the light after 5 min if the doors are open?... or does anyone have a schematic for the door sensors that tells if the door is open or not?... The guy says that he doesn't have the schematics for the door switches.. he might have to monitor all the doors... BTW, if the trunk i open .. the alarm doesn't arm itself... so he was able to do that correctly
