ATF cooler vs ATF warmer
Hey guys! Was just reading around and found this on TSB 90-009 Now I wonder wtf is ATF warmer cuz they are on 2000-2006 TL.
Also kinda excited that it notes TL 07-08 has ATF cooler. I've heard 07-08 TLS have them but never know Base 07-08 are equipped as well.

The first couple posts of this thread will give you an answer about ATF cooler.
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/116-diy-transmission-cooler-5at-magnefine-filter-lots-pics-754752/
but still no idea why is there an existence of ATF warmer.

the warmer and cooler are the same on 04-08 TL
i learned this when my trans was being rebuilt.
on the top, there is a round cylinder with 2 cooant hoses going to it from the engine.
it basically runs coolant thru the "cooler/warmer" from the engine
it warms it when the trans is cooler then the engine and cools it when the trans gets hotter than the coolant.
its not enough for our cars on hot days thats why the trans starts losing power and shifting sturdiness when it's hot.
i put a external cooler using the return line in the back of the trans and ran it to a supercooler in front of the RAD.
its part e-15-11 on this diagram
