Angry Ass prints in leather?

What's up with the ass prints in the leather? I've got them in all seats except the middle rear. :banghead: There is acually a crease in the rear driver side, that's how bad it is! Is this a warranty fix or am I fuked?

I had the butt prints too. Someone here recommended religious application of Lexol conditioner. After two coats (I used generous amounts) and relatively warm temp inside my car, those butt prints are gone! Some of it has to do with a poor padding support, I think.

I used zymol leather cleaner to get rid of some marks that bled onto my friends CLK Ash leather. It got rid of it......

Is Zymol cleaner better than Lexol cleaner? I know that Lexol cleaner doesn't work.

Use a solution of 1 part Woolite and 6 parts water to clean the leather.

Butt Prints!!

Wow...I thought I was the only one with this..!!

It appears the middle part of the seats are not of the top quality leather...I had an 03 loaner TL and was amazed at how much thicker the leather was throughout the car...

In my opinion the leather is very thin and not pulled too tight thereby causing the imprints..I used Lexol yesterday so we'll see...

The prints are actually because the leather is pulled too tight, and it's a flat surface so it has to stretch when weight is constantly applied. Most leather seats have a lot of creases near the seating area, so it will move easily and refrain from deforming. The TL's seats look great, but the seat area isn't a good design. I don't mind the prints, as long as the leather never starts ripping etc. If it does, I hope it happens before 40k miles so i can take it in and have the entire upholstery replaced.

I use nothing and the butt prints haven't worsened at all. In fact, they've improved somewhat. I don't have an explanation.

if the cracks on the side are bad enough warranty will cover it. they replaced mine.
leather conditioner is b.s., it shouldn't be doing that in the first place.

btw, no more cracking problems w/ the new leather.

cracks isn't the right word. the never doesn't rip or anything. more like creases - but the kind of creases you'd expect at like 30-40k, not 3k.
