Aspec lip installation

Did I install my aspec lip kit wrong? Was I supposed to remove the stock grille? Here is a pic:

Any way to remove it without removing the whole front lip?

You sure? I wanted to try removing my bumper so I can take out the foglights and the plastic pieces behind it to remove it from behind.

Pretty sure haha.

I know for sure the 04-06 TL you can't
Too much bumper material blocking it haha

For the 07/08, it looks like there's some of the bumper in the middle dividing the grill and the fog light, which might make it impossible.

Ok I took a careful look at it earlier and deemed that it wasn't worth the effort... I'll remove it if I ever need to remove my front lip for anything, for now it doesn't bother me

By the instructions yes but personal opinion no. Most people leave it on, I'm one of them. Nice Job!

I wish I had left mine on. Without it you have huge gaping holes. The honeycomb is nice IMO.

I can't tell what's wrong really, but then again I'm new to the TL world. Do you have any pictures taken from farther away showing the entire bumper and lip?

you will need to make a small cut into the mesh if you want to keep it from blocking it front lip bracket

Doesn't the stock lip/bumper have a chrome lip instead of black plastic? A pic a bit further back would help .

Type-s guys have to remove the front lower grille to be able to mount the aspec lips? That doesn't sound right at all to me... Sucks if it's true. Lol

^-- yes, because the Aspec lower grill is part of the lip, so you're supposed to remove the factory lower grill...

I'm actually not sure how he was able to fit both on there without some cutting involved?

Ahh because the type-s aspec front lip is that entire piece that comes down in the middle on the nose, right? Whereas base is just a small little lip in that area.

Learn something new everyday.

Exactly. I thought it was fine. Still don't notice anything out of place.
