ASPEC Kit or RonJon Kit ????

Just trying to get some feedback, I am looking to either get the Aspec front and back kit or the full Ron Jon kit. I like the Ron Jon kit much more but it is more expensive and i have heard its hard to match the paint and may not fit perfect. What are your guys thoughts?? BTW I have a 06 A. Silver Met. Tl.

Personally, I'm a fan of the RonJon kit too. It's a much better look than the Aspec kit, in my opinion.

take it from a person that went nuts with my 2004 accord and picked up a full body kit versus the lip kit. if you get into an accident, or if it cracks, you will have to pay out the a$$ to fix. furthermore, when you're done with the car, you are going to either have to keep the OEM bumpers/side skirts somewhere, or just take the loss when you trade/sell the car.

I'd go with the OEM just based on my experience with aftermarket. if you're prepared to lose your money in the end, then go for it. the aspec body kit is nice and I have it. I started a thread with pics of my old car vs the new car, may want to take a look.

its a very good deal !! Ron Jon is better since its a full front and rear bumper no lip like the aspec and looks more muscular.... and so on and on . And regarding money loss i would say that i bought the car to enjoy it not to think how im gonna sell it in the future, im gonna lose anyhow if it comes to that point so who cares... The better ur car makes u feel the more u like it and for that dont feel like u lost money..... well u get my point

A-Spec>RonJon

A-Spec FTW!

No disrespect but RJ is not VeilSide or Mugen...most people never even heard of 'em.

The RonJon kit is wicked hot. It will cost you a little bit but if you look at the photos that shit is tight.

i did research while my car was getting painted... i already had a aspec kit so i stuck with it cuz it was costing too much towards the end, but the rj kit is tight, not too many ppl have it, its urethane so i don't have to worry about cracking and cheap ass fiberglass, its aggressive, and i have a few other positive things to say about it. so the question is do u like it clean where it follows the original bodylines? or do u want to go aggressive? either way its a win win situation

I saw the ronjon body kit and noticed there wasn't any fog lights. So my question is.. where the hell do the fog lights go?

he only quoted for front and rear for $588, not the whole kit. made me look twice when i saw the op listed $588 thinking it was the whole kit.

I e-mailed with Rondy last week. He said the RonJon kit was only sold as a kit-you couldn't order just the nose or just the tail.

He also sent me a similar photo from above. I wish they would post more pics on the RonJon website of their new kits with the driving lights in the front grill for the 2007 and 2008 TL's.

Does anybody have good pictures of what the Aspec kit looks like on a type S? With my wholesale discount, they are pretty cheap from my local dealer. I would like to see what the rear bumper looks like. Not meaning to high jack this thread. I have a Silver 08

Sorry, thats all we have, even tho quite a few TL-S and 07 TL customers have done the kit, they opt to leave the fogs out for a different look.

Don't mean to bring back old thread, but I got couple question:

1. I heard from Rondy, RJ kit is 1.5" lower from ground compare to original bumper. Not sure if he meant just the front or the whole 4 sides. Can anyone confirm this?
How about the aspec-kit?, I heard it's just the same height as original.

2. Though, RJ can have the option to have the kit painted, a lot of ppl recommend me to have it painted locally instead, cause the color-matching is not guaranteed. My car is Antrachite by the way.
How about the aspec kit? I think it will come painted, right? is the color for sure match?

Sorry for the noob question, I always wonder though, if it's the same factory OEM match: why is the RJ-kit can't guaranteed match, where Aspec-kit can?
I would assume if they all use the same paint code, it should exactly be the same right?

nothing is guaranteed, even with the aspec. it just depends on the color. both can probably match NBP pretty well, but those with WDP will probably get a slightly off color. its just the way of the world. the bumpers and lips are a different material from the rest of the car, so the paint has to be different in order to be more forgiving to the flexing that those parts will go through.

shoulda made a poll

anyways, aspec ftw. if you wana get RJ to be different, i'd say get the RJ rear but aspec front lip and aspec sides.. IMO RJ is tooo much. on their site they have some pretty clean RJ TLs but the kit looks too big to me. at least for a TL sized car.

i saw a KBP RJ TL in real life once with chome RJ inspyres and i was just thinkin ehhh. all that money and it doesnt even look great

so is it fair to assume that there are same odds for both Aspec kit and RJ kit to have off-color (compare to body)?

'cause I don't think I ever heard anyone complain that their Aspec kit is off-color, and they have to repain it, but I heard a lot RJ-kit customer have to repain their kit, after having it painted from RJ
