aspec kit question(s)

i am planning on getting the aspec...........this one to be exact .......the whole package comes with.......

4 High performance, track-tuned shocks and springs,Pre pressed from Acura.......
4 of the 18" A-Spec TL wheels with center caps

my question is will the suspension drop the car at all?
what kind of the tire size should i put on the wheels? I was looking at 235/40-18 tires? will they rub if the suspension has a drop?
Any answers/pix will be greatly appreciated.

According to what I understand the A-spec suspension does drop the car a little, bit I don't know exactly by how much. A-spec is my next mod. Congrats

I believe the Aspec suspension drops the car .75 but someone can correct me if I am wrong. 235/40/18 you will be fine there are people running bigger tires than that and have no problems. And no they won't rub.

235/40-18 is the stock tire size for those rims so you will be fine. but some people go with a 245/40-18 to add a little extra protection to the rims in case you rub a curb.

personal opinion but since you're going with the drop...i'd recommend getting 245/35/18s. i hate a thick sidewall! haven't had any problems here thus far. as for the aspec suspension they should drop your car about half an inch...it's not much; definitely not 1.5 inches.

i deffinetly agree with you about the side wall being too big, but i drive on roads that are effing horrible to drive on tooo many potholes so i wana get the bigger walls cause of that reason.

Your TL is sharp - what year is it? I just picked up an 06 TL last night, black, and wanted to change out the rims - yours are very sharp, where are they from?

aspec kit? well, I don't really wanna lower my car or get new shocks or anything, i just want to make the aesthetics a little more exciting. Are those rims called "aspec rims"? Is there anything else on that car to make it "aspec" cosmetically?

thanks!
