I was wondering if anyone had any pics or input on how an 06 base TL looks with just an Aspec front lip ie no sides or rear. Does it flow or does it look like you put some aftermarket lip on your car that doesnt belong there?

 

IMO the side skirts don't make a huge difference...but it helps complete the look for sure.

That being said I think the front and rear are a must.

As for finding pics of your request...look in the 3G Garage, some of the DIY installs have pics of each piece going on, might be able to find one with the front installed and the side/rear left alone.

 

I've always wondered that as well, how a TL would look with the just the front lip without the side skirts, or even just the front and rear.. pics would be great.. I've been wanting wanting to ask the same question.

You can see there is a difference but it's not huge. The front lip works well by itself on a 3G, but the sides do help quite a bit. Hope the pics help your decision. I elected to go without the rear part of the kit and I'm happy with it as is.

 

Full kit... makes the most difference =)
Whenever I see a car with the incomplete kit, it looks weird to me. Makes me think the car looks incomplete as a whole lol

A lot of people don't think the side skirts look so different but once you put them on, it transforms the look of the sides of the car.

 

Buy the full kit and complete the look

 

I think the front lip would just be fine, since it doesn't really make the front bulky looking.

But like everyone said, just get the whole kit

 

Thanks for the pics! Yeah, ideally I want to just get the full kit, but acurazine has been burning a hole in my wallet lately lol. I dont think it looks that bad without the side, but it does look way better with them.

 

The base with A-Spec side skirts looks a lot like the Type S sides.
