Anyone try this MOD???

I bought my fiancee a brand new Infiniti M45 and as I was driving the car back home today, (car is still in the shop till July 3) in Georgia's hot weather!! I noticed the seat warmer knob but it also had a seat cooler! (sales man did not mention this) I turned the knob toward the cooler side and well I was welcomed with a nice shot of cold air on my back and butt... I'm sure some don't care about this but anyone that lives in the southern region of this country, I think you would love this!

Now my question to you guys has anyone thought of this or maybe attempted this MOD on there TL?? I would love to have this....hmmm maybe I'll look into this if no one else has..

my buddy's volvo S80 has that, I fell in love with it immediately. that's a bad ass car! best part, if you're riding passenger, grind a fart into the seat right before getting out of the car and when they turn that seat a/c on later it blows it all back out, confusing the heck out of them. good times.

they are tiny fans cut into the foam mold....very hard to situate the fans in a way so that they actually work properly because the tl's foam is softer than the one used for the cooling....plus the foam has the fans and vents strategically placed in other cars.

Yep, I always wanted this option in the car.... My ass would of appreciated it.. for those in suits, will understand what I'm saying, lol.

We can always redirect the rear vents to blow from the sides of the seat, this will provide a nice a cooling effect...

BUT doesn't RL have the cooled seats option???

I wonder if the AC can be deviated somehow into the foam of the seat.....it would be pretty cool, no pun intended.

When the weather really sucks & I am going to have to park in the open a lot, I leave the TL home & drive the Expedition. It has two range cooled seats, not bad for a truck.

Since you said Brand new I'm assuming 2008 or did you get a heck of a deal on a brand new 2007, My Infiniti delaer has a couple brand new 07s left on their lot. Did you get the sport package? I know they changed it a little bit from the 06-07 model, I personally don't like the new look of the tail lights on the 08 (they are smaller than 06-07) haha but the reason I didnt get an 06-07 was cuz the tailights were way too big IMO. And I don't like the new look of the sport 5 spoke wheels (compared to previous 5 spoke sport wheels) Anyway nice car and way to go!

Yup my dads car has them and they feel great when coming back from the gym...on his car they suck air in instead of blowing air out btw...

Side Note: St. Marlo is pretty nice! I'm at Seven Oaks off Mcgines Ferry

Some "cooled" seats merely have a fan that blows ambient air and it doesn't do much. (like my mom's Lexus). Gimmicky. My dad's Caddy blows real air-conditioned air, now that is cool!!

Definitely would have loved this on the TL. For anyone who thinks it is unnecessary, well.....How did you feel before you had heated seats? But once you had them you wondered how you lived without them. That's how you'll feel after living with cooled seats.

But it's not worth it as a mod on this car IMO. The work doesn't justify the benefits. When you trade up to the next car, just check the option box.
