Anyone replacing rotors and pads with Duramax soon?

If you are like me and are about to replace your pads and rotors with Duramax brand anytime soon... Here is a link to a coupon for $20 off in store.

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/lan...mp=20130111_RR

This is my first time replacing my pads after 2 years with my 3g TL and first time replacing the rotors since original owner. I decided to go with Duramax after reading how many people here had success with them. Hopefully all goes well. Unfortunately I will not be doing the job myself this time but I plan on doing them in the future.

I suggest you looking into the brakemotive slotted and drilled brakes here on the forum. Better parts better prices

The duralast pads work great on type-s. I paired mine with rotors from brakeperformance.com.

I have been using them for more than 2 years (duralast gold maxx) and I have no issues. They dust way less and I have lifetime warranty.

I change my brakes with duralast gold maxx rotors and pads all the way around. That's what got me is the lifetime warranty, I will never have to buy brake pads again!

I had drilled and slotted rotors along with the padsfrom a vendor on here, I can't recall the name of the company. Anyways, they lasted about a year and a half and I figured I would have gotten a little more pad life out of them, had horrible shaking when braking so they had to go.

there is a vendor on here that sells drilled and slotted rotors with centric ceramic pads for like 160 shipped for front and back.

ive been running them for a month now and they are great!

i have also ran Autozone Dualast Gold Brake pads before and they are also awesome..the only thing is i dont like the Duralast Rotors..they are kinda cheap and made in china...

if you can cut your rotors and save them..i would get the Duralast Gold pads or the Gold C-Max if you also need the hardware kit with it.

the good thing is its not alot of break dust and they are lifetime warranty pads!

btw. the vendor was Brake Motive

I Just bought DRT rotors. Cost a little more than the brakemotive package but its quality rotors from Centric Premium. Its practically the same rotors as stoptech and powerslot. Actually not practiaclly.... IT IS.

Any suggestions to fix the brake squeal during light brake pressure? I'm getting tired of my brakes making that horrible noise while pulling through the drive-thru.

Pads and rotors replaced 15k miles ago. New anti-squeal applied to back of pads 3k miles ago.

If you have racing pads, no amount of grease will stop the squealing

my brembo duralast CMAX pads are still going strong. I'll never have to buy pads ever again!

only gripe is that now that they're well broken they produce some noticeable dust. Not as bad as the OEM brembo pads though.
