I just received a silver 'ACURA' engraved coffee mug in the mail from Lindsay Acura in Ohio, where I purchased my car. A little late, since I purchased my car last November...but still, it's kinda nice.

Has anyone else received gifts from their dealer after purchasing? If so, what did you get?

 

In addition to invoice on my new Acura, I recieved a free round of golf for two from Performance Acura in Chapel Hill, NC. If anyone is looking for a great deal on a Acura and great service call them at 919-942-3191 ask for Brian, he is who i dealt with.

I bought my '02 used in '03 and last month when I had it towed for the tranny I got a coffe mug from one of the other service writers...delayed appreciation, perhaps?

 

The only 'gift' I got was the 2 Acura keychains I got with my car, but I don't know if everyone gets them. It's engraved with my dealer info on the back.

 

Got an Acura key chain and a 4x6 inch cookie (2 weeks later) with an Acura TL printed on the frosting.

I got a coffee cup and a bottle of touch-up paint from Acura of Portland (OR).

My gift has been more service visits in the last 6 months than any previous vehicle I have ever owned. This car is a gift that just keeps giving....what it is giving is another story!!

 

After I signed the papers, I got the salesman, the service manager, and the sales manager to not call me back about any of my problems - not a single phone call returned. Needless to say, I felt as if I was "used".

I received an Acura "Space" Pen and an Acura T-shirt. Plus a DVD-A demo disc.

 

I got the Acura pen in the "glove leather" book holder, an Acura keychain that I like had a spinny center piece of the Acura caliper emblem, and a tin of cookies from the dealership.

And with others above, montly service visits..

 

I got a nice bottle of red wine from the Dealer when I took delivery. A couple of months later I got the silver Acura space pen and a DVD-A demo disc.

 

*gasp* I didn't get a round of golf from them!!!! No fair!!!!

 

Emilio: that's kinda funny.. the pen and DVD-A disc are supposed to be in the delivery of the car, I bet they found it and said.. Oh lets send this as a nice "gift"..

man, all I got where the chrome-look license plate cover with the dealer name and web address printed on them, LOL.

 

Got the Acura DVD-A sampler only after I asked the salesrep to demo the DVD-A system during delivery - found it strange that it wasn't part of the delivery. Also received the Acura "spacepen" writes on anything as ink is under pressure.

Lastly, got 3 new catalytic converters on hour 20 after delivery. thinking about adding wood trim so i have something to knock on each time I get in the car .

I just got a tin of "homemade" cookies in an Acura of Lynnwood tin. Pretty cool, have not tried the cookies yet though.

 

I came home the other day and there is this big box next to my front door from my Acura dealer. Inside is a helium filled "good luck" baloon and a tin of Danish cookies. The funny thing is this is exactly what I got when I bought my 01 TL from a different dealer! Must be a local custom.

 

Got a bottle of wine and key chain from the dealer. A month later (just yesterday) I got the Acura "space pen" in the mail from Acura Canada.

 

The DVD-A demo disc came with the car. I also received an Acura keychain and an Acura teddy bear (my dad told the salesman I collect teddy bears).
Later on I received the Acura "space" pen in the mail.

 

the demo discs come with all TL's.
are you a chick or a dude? either way, i'm very interested to hear exactly why your dad would tell the salesman about you collecting teddy bears. care to entertain us?

dammit, i didn't get sh!t from my dealership or acura. and this is the 2nd TL my family bought.

You know, as this thread gets longer, I get more upset. Missing out on a space pen is tolerable, but rounds of golf, wine, cookies, etc...this is rather irksome. Hell, I didn't even get the follow up survey...maybe that's why I didn't get a gift...they send gifts to those who are going to be surveyed, to help ensure good responses.

 

I got a cap and the wife got a fruit basket....lol

 

I just got a tin of cookies over the weekend. Woo hoo.

well..i got 2 key chain, a bottle of touch paint, and one pen...and one free service (i think everybody got that when the first time you guys service d/ car)

 

They sent over a hooker like in Ferris Bueller's day off. Mine showed up dressed as a service tech that was going to top off my fluids...

 

I got to choose anything (within reason) from the Acura parts department... I ended up getting a chrome license plate frame (I think it was around ~$25)...

 

I got wheel locks, trunk mat and mud flaps fo $0 because they forgot to add them in to the final cost.. (they had already put them on the car). Also got tcouch up paint, and a zipper bag full of cleaning supplies, towels, rain-x, fog-x and tire shine stuff.

 

Man everyone got good stuff, "fruit basket, free this free that" ...... I still up to this day got nothing ......

 

I received F & R mud flaps and wheel locks.. In addition a custom 2 Year Calender was received in the mail with a large photo of my wife and I posing in front of our TL on delivery and a smaller one for whatever..

 

either did I!! All I got was the comfort of almost personally knowing all of the service people having to go there all the time 2 get stupid crap fixed and a nice set of butt printed seats
