Not sure if this has been discussed...
Not sure if this has been discussed, but can you use any type of Spray Paint? I got two cans that were on sale the other day, not Krylon, Duplicolor, or any well-known brand.

Discussed??? ...Like a bajillion times... Some kind of heat tolerate paint will be fine. Most are using engine paint with very thorough preparation. Read through the thread for further details.

I am starting to believe that the plastics are never really subjected to very high temperatures (not like direct contact metal like calipers or engine block). I would recommend you do a high temp base (just in case I'm wrong... ) and then whatever color and clear you want on top of that. Name brand SHOULDN'T matter.

What paint was used for that?
VHT Wrinkle Red paint. It gives it that nice texture. I seen it a lot for the 4cyl honda's.

Looks good man! Do you have a DIY on how you did the main engine cover and manifold? What kind of paint did you use?

very creative and nice.

i think this will be my next project.

but my questions is would that be too hot to paint the engine cover with plastidip since it's plastic base?

I have plasti dipped my engine covers with no problems. Plasti dip is rated to around 320 degrees, so it's fine on your engine covers.

Most paints will work. People even plastidip them.

I would sand, plastic prep, duplicolor sandable primer, sand, primer, sand. Pick a base color, shouldn't matter what brand/kind. Then do a engine enamel clear.

Thanks everyone ! and to anyone wondering what kind of paint to use, you can literally use any kind because if your engine bay is going over 200 degrees then you should get it checked out cause they are just plastic covers and if they got to hot they would get damaged! so any type of paint would be great.
