anyone know how to reset the oil life warning?
i might be the first... i have 6700 miles on my car now and the oil life warning keeps flashing when i start up the engine.
i did change the oil at 3500 miles but the dealer forgot to reset it.
anyone know how to reset the oil life back to 100%?

From what I've read on this board you select the screen that shows you the oil life and then you hold down the reset button for 5 seconds. it will then ask you if you want to reset the oil life.

Remember, you can also reset your "oil life" reminder any time by this tip. For example, if you're gonna change you oil next month, you can reset it by pressing "RESET" for seconds. (I don't know why 20 secons, I hold it about 10 seconds only.)
This is only reminder you can reset, and we're in the bad luck if dealers didn't reset others for us.
And, you're not the first... tons of early built cars has been experiencing this.

Unfortunately you should have done it when you changed the oil. Change the oil before you reset it or your conputer will not calculate the service intervals correctly. I'm wondering how you drove with that pain in the butt warning for 3k? I had it for 1 day and it drove me bonkers!

So far, there is no way to monitor your oil life as we monitor the height of fuel level or pressure of engine oil. And, we don't know how to monitor its cleanness yet.
IMO, this reminder is good for those always forgetting to change oil, but it's a little bothersome for those understanding oil.
